The Derby and Derbyshire Local Access Forum is planning a modest event to mark the 10th anniversary of Open Access . Representatives of Ramblers’ Groups will be most welcome.

A message from David, our DadLAF representative ;

DaDLAF is organising a short walk on Tuesday October 28, to commemorate 10 years of Open Access.
We have only a few small parcels of access land within our territory , though some are quite interesting. One is Matlock Moor, which has appeared to lack any public access.
However, we have discovered a way in and our Chair , John Disney , will lead a 4.5 mile walk around it and into some adjacent Forestry Commission land.
We are hoping the walk will lead to the access arrangements being improved.

You will be very welcome – meet 10.30 am for coffee in Committee Room 1 at County Hall and we will walk from there at 11.
Please note there will be no car parking available at County Hall and the walk will end at the bottom of the hill , in Matlock Town Centre.

You will be very welcome if you can join us- please let us know as we want an idea about numbers.

What is DaDLAF ?
